Erik Sanner’s installations, though compact in size, are complex. In them, the artist introduces chaotic and seemingly random imagery-tweaking that imagery until it coalesces into an overall experience for the viewer that is contemplative, near poetic, and, of course, highly personal. Think of Sanner’s work as time-specific (dependent upon you, the viewer, for a beginning and an end) rather than site-specific, and you’ll begin to get the idea.
45projects has exhibited Sanner’s still images, culled as frozen moments from specific and actual installations, in “The Space Between Us.” But entire installations are also available.
Larger installations by the artist generally include painted surfaces, computer and video projection equipment, and equipment stands. Contact 45projects to learn more about how to purchase them, as well as to invite the artist to install one in your home or institution.
